Kathy will be joining the Eastern Kentucky University coaching staff
this season after a stint in London, England...She will bring a wealth
of talent to the program in the throwing and jumping events...while
competing she set Eastern Kentucky school records on five different
occasions during
the 1999 season...fought through injuries during the 2000 season and is
healthy and ready for the 2001 season...will be even better during the
2001 year...was an NCAA provisional qualifer in 1999...joined the team
in January 1999...she is a very good discus thrower from
Australia...won
OVC discus in 1999...is a tremendous asset to the program in the throws
area...also competes in the shot...during the indoor season she will
concentrate
in the shot and weight throw...has very good technique...a graduate of
Westfield High School...is top-10 all-time for Australia
Discus...placed
second at Duke Invitational with a throw of 158-0.
