RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University's Mohammed Khayr has been chosen Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week by the Ohio Valley Conference for the second time this season.

Khayr, a senior from Fairfax, VA, was selected for his victory in last Saturday's Lakefront Invitational held in Chicago, IL. Khayr finished the 8,000 meter event in a time of 24:41.

Khayr's effort helped lead EKU to second place in the 37-team event.

Khayr was also chosen OVC Runner of the Week on September 21^st.
