RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University swept Ohio Valley Conference Runners of the Week honors for cross country meets held Sept. 18^th.

Senior Jenni Brown of Salem, OH, was selected as the OVC Women's Runner of the Week for her effort in the Western Kentucky University Old Timers Meet in Bowling Green last Saturday.

Brown placed second in the 5,000-meter event in a time of 17:43 as the Lady Colonels placed second as a team to host Western Kentucky.

On the men's side, senior Mohammed Khayr of Fairfax, VA, was chosen OVC Men's Runner of the Week as he placed third in the Western Kentucky meet in a time of 25:43 in the five-mile event. EKU also placed second to WKU in this meet.
